An air to air heat pump is an all-in-one heating and cooling system designed for year round comfort.

The installation is relatively simple and cost effective, suitable for a wide variety of property types and sizes and will reduce heating bills.

Even on cold days, outside air contains latent heat which can be converted into low cost heating. Using a similar principle to a refrigerator, but in reverse, the heat pump’s outdoor unit draws in and warms outside air and transfers it into the property where it is circulated by an indoor fan unit. It is an extremely efficient process that can produce up to five times more heat than the electrical energy it uses and the process can also be reversed to provide cooler air in the warmer months.

Some units incorporate an air purification feature that neutralises airborne bacteria, viruses and allergens, which is particularly beneficial to asthma and hay fever sufferers.

The outdoor unit is compact and requires only a suitable solid base for positioning and the indoor unit features quiet operation and has a remote control unit that enables (amongst other operations) temperature setting, turbo operation, fan settings, auto operation mode, programmable timer, etc.
